“Temperament, Health, and Breed Type.”

Our Goal: The best all-round Canine Companions.

Situated in the inner east of Melbourne Australia, we are a home-based breeder of Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers.

We spare no expense in pursuit of the very best Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier for Australian families. Our imports include six “frozen” sires and three live imports in the past six years. We continue to raise the bar for ourselves and the breed community.

2. Autumn puppies arriving in mid-April.  Currently praying for positive news from upcoming ultrasounds.  Stay in touch for news of some very special babies to two brand new sires of international standing.

Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss anything about the breed or so we can help you get your next canine family member: iain.bradbeer@gmail.com or text or call Iain on 0481 357 379.

Healthy Genetics...

We import from breeders who have been in the breed for over thirty years. They are trusted members of their local breed clubs in the USA and share the same committment to health testing and accountability that we have.  Please don’t hesitate to ask about what we test for, how we test, and how we have made the hard decisions so that we maximize the health outcomes for all our families. You will NEVER get an inbred dog or even a closely linebred dog from Alinex Wheatens. (Ten Gen COI max 12.75 %) Nor will you ever get a dog bred from parents, grandparents or great grandparents who have any sort of suspected genetic disease.  We follow the guidelines of the most conservative kennel clubs in the world to ensure that we have done all we can to contribute to the long and healthy life of your pet.

A Simple Commitment,

to do the very best we can at every aspect of breeding, showing, caring for our dogs and raising our puppies.  And we back you up to do the same.  Our hope is that our puppy families will love reading our puppy manual and understanding how simple nutritious “real” food, and proper care with some unique breed insights will give you the power to care for Wheaten as well as possible.

"Home Based Breeder" means...

We are a home-based breeder which means that our dogs snuggle and watch TV with us at night, lay at our feet during the day, come with us to our local patisserie, and say goodnight to us before they go to bed each night.  We have a very small nucleus of permanent resident dogs in our suburban home. The rest of our team live in families from the time they are 8 weeks old. Whether we end up showing them or breeding them, ALL of the Alinex dogs have a family of their own.

Home Raised Puppies are...

Our puppies are born in the ensuite of our bedroom. We sleep on the floor next to them until they are old enough to move to the livingroom. We are blessed to have three sons who love dogs and puppies. By the time our puppies open their eyes they are deeply bonded to the people who have always been there just as their own mother is. Puppies who are bonded like this make the best canine pals.

Top Winning Showdogs...

Showing purebred dogs is one of the oldest established traditions for the appraisal of animals for breeding.  We show our dogs so that some of the best cynologists in the world (International All-Breeds Judges) can critique them. We also show them to display publicly that our dogs are consistently of a high standard and always improving.  We take great pride in the fact that we have won five breed specialty shows in Australia in the past six years; more than any other kennel in the country.  We lead busy professional and family lives so we are not out at shows as often as we would like to be but we show our dogs for the accountability and we show them to win.
